CANYON of BARBAIRA in the Roya valley (Alpes maritimes 06)
The canyon of Barbaira is only 1 hour drive from Nice to the Italian border.
Located in Italia, it is in an atmosphere of pure « dolce vita » that you will savour the end of this canyoning day.
The canyon of Barbaira, which is one of the most beautiful of the region, offers a total disorientation ! The crystal clear water is turquoise, its vegetation luxuriant and its exceptional location and sunshine give the journey a tropical a tmosphere (one of most the warmest in the region).
Accessible to everybody because there is no particular difficulty, the canyon of Barbaira starts by a 40 minutes hiking, then a series of jumps (never obligatory) of various heights interspersed with some abseiling not exceeding 12 meters which will lead you to the final part.

Transport
The meeting point is fixed in the gas station AVIA « aire de Beausoleil ».
Easy to find and after you just have to folloow us and cross the Italian border.
From Nice take the highway A8 in the direction of Italy (Ventimiglia), after the toll of Turbie continue on approximately 2 km. After the tunnel, take to the right the access road in the Area of Beausoleil (gas station AVIA), we will wait for you there.
